Why It Works
Nobody builds a relationship across a table for ninety minutes.
The reason a day here lands is the shape of it. Coffee before daylight. A morning where you are shoulder to shoulder in a field rather than opposite each other. A long lunch nobody is checking a watch through. An afternoon that goes as long as you want it to.
The business talks itself, in the gaps. Everyone has heard a pitch over dinner. Very few have missed the same bird twice and laughed about it with the person they were trying to impress.
How A Day Runs
Built around your group, not around our timetable.
Arrive to coffee on the pavilion porch. A safety talk, a word about the dogs, and then the group splits however suits it — guns to the field behind pointing dogs, the rest to the 5-stand with someone standing beside them.
Swap over mid-morning if you like. Lunch under the pavilion when the guns come down, and then an afternoon that is yours: more birds, more clays, the lake, or a chair by the fire pit while the dogs sleep it off.
Everything is within forty steps. Nobody spends the day driving between things.
Tailored To You
Tell us the occasion and the number. We will design the rest.
No packages, no tick-boxes. Every group day here is put together from a conversation, because a board of eight entertaining a client is not a stag party and neither is a family marking a seventieth birthday.
Mixed Abilities, One Day
The common worry, and the easiest to solve. Lifelong guns go to the field; anyone who has never held one starts on the 5-stand with an instructor beside them. Everybody is back together at lunch with something to argue about.
Nobody Travels With A Gun
Loaner guns and shells arranged in advance and fitted on the morning. Flying a client in from out of state stops being a problem the moment nobody has to check a firearm.
Make It A Competition
High gun, best pair, a wager on the last drive. A trophy or an engraved prize if you want something that sits on a desk afterwards and keeps reminding them.
Draw The Pegs
Say the word and we will draw flights and pegs so the group actually mixes instead of clumping into the people who already sit together. A small thing that changes who talks to whom all day.
Put Your Name On It
Scorecards, place settings and prizes can carry your logo. We have hosted enough client days to know the ones people remember look like they were yours, not ours.
Get The Photographs
We can have a photographer on the ground for the day. Nothing keeps an invitation warm like the pictures landing in inboxes on Monday morning.
Eat Properly
The pavilion has a full outdoor kitchen. Low-country boil, a whole hog, steak over the fire, or something quieter — tell us who is coming and what they eat and it is handled.
Non-Shooters Are Not Spare Parts
A lake with a dock, a lodge back in the timber, a pack of dogs everybody falls for, and a porch built for sitting on. Bring the people who do not shoot; they often enjoy it most.
Stay The Night
Three bedrooms and three baths back in the timber, by arrangement. A fire pit, a billiards room glazed on three sides, and an evening that does not end because somebody has to drive.
Bring Everyone Together
We can arrange transport from Rome, Chattanooga or Atlanta. One bus, one arrival, and the conversation has started before anybody gets out of it.
Do The Business First
The lodge great room works as a meeting room. Run the strategy session in the morning and shoot in the afternoon — or the other way round, which is usually better.
Out Of Season Works Too
Birds run October through March, but clays, lunch and the pavilion keep no calendar. Summer group days on the 5-stand are some of the best afternoons of the year.
Occasions We Know Well
Client days, crews, milestones, and the odd stag party.
Customer entertaining and thank-yous. Boards and leadership teams who wanted a day out that was not another hotel. Sales crews at the end of a hard quarter. Family legacy hunts where three generations shoot the same ground.
Retirements, seventieth birthdays, memorial hunts for somebody who loved this country, and bachelor parties that wanted to be more than a dinner. If it matters enough to get people in one place, it is worth doing properly.
Let's Talk
Tell us the occasion. We will build the day.
Group days are quoted individually, because they are designed individually. One phone call is usually all it takes — how many, roughly when, and what the day is for.
Daniel or Margaret will pick up. No deposit is taken over the phone, and nothing is booked until the day is agreed.
